Solution 1- Search for duplicate entries in the data

QuickBooks can suffer from this error if there’s a duplicate entry in the item list, which causes discrepancies in the data. This’ll cause random issues in QuickBooks while reconciling bank accounts or merging an accountant’s copy into the data. It is also possible that the duplicate entry is currently inactive, which makes it inaccessible for the software. You need to change the name of the duplicate entry or delete it from the record as shown in these steps-

  1. Launch QuickBooks on your server computer.
  2. Go to the Lists option and select Item List in the options list.
  3. Navigate to the Items tab and single-click the drop-down arrow.
  4. Tap the Show inactive items and search for any duplicate entries in the list.
  5. Remove the duplicate entry to rename it by adding a character in its name to make it unique.
  6. Fix all the duplicate entries and try performing the task that caused this error again.

If you still encounter an error code on the screen, go to the next solution.

  2. Press Ctrl + F to open a file search window and type ‘Duplicate’ after erasing the auto-filled data.

After you find the duplicate entries in the QBWin.log file, use the following steps to remove them-
